Problema ornamentelor lobate la români

  • Subiect: THE PROBLEM OF THE LOBE-ORNAMENTS TO THE ROMANIANS The problem of lobe-ornaments is new in Roumanian heraldry. The author used some examples from numismatic and sigilography in order to find a correspondent in heraldry. Using only heraldry-arguments the author says that lobe-ornaments aren't component of a cost of arm. Lobe-ornaments are only a ornament borrowed from the architecture, in Romanian heraldry, numismatic and sigilography. lf a lobe-ornament is considered as a shield, the true heraldic shield would be considered as the earlier coat of arms. lt is not the case in that period of Romanian heraldry in which the author is interested. No doubt, the importance of lobe-ornaments in Gothic architecture of the Middle Age is very clear. Romanian heraldry has a proper way of life. It is very interesting for heraldries to how which is the local, or native elements, and how they have the possibility to develop, to make the differences between our heraldry and the neighbors’ heraldry. Some elements are borrowed from our neighbors and we send them others. The heraldry-rules offered us the possibility to say that the lobe-ornaments are no components of a coat of arms.
