  • Subiect: New Interpretations Regarding the Dating of the Battle From Rovine The battle from Rovine remained in the historians’ memory not for its importance and consequences but because of the unknown that characterizes it. The insufficiency of the historical sources and their vagueness provoked strong debates among the historians along the time. The battle from Rovine did not take place in the autumn of 1394 or on May the 17th 1395. The information from the Ottoman chronicles and the logical interpretation of the events suggest the autumn of 1395 as a possible moment of the battle (perhaps the 10th of October), while the Serbian chronicles situated it one year earlier.
