Brătianu – One of the Greatest Historians of Romania At the end of January 2013, 115 years were celebrated from the birth in the parish Ruginoasa of one of the greatest historians of Romania Gheorghe I. Brătianu. In the same year, 60 years from his death are also celebrated. The domains of history that represented the area of his research were: the economic & social history, the institutions - the Lordly Council & the Assembly in the Romanian Principalities –, and the geographical areas such as the Black Sea. His study research represented an element of novelty due to the substance of the research & to the way the historical facts were seen perceived in the social & economical & political context of the world history.
