Consideraţii privind protectoratul puterii domneşti asupra comunităţii catolice din Câmpulung în veacul al XVII-lea

  • Subiect: Viewpoints regarding the Lordly Power Protectorate Over the Catholic Community in Câmpulung in the 17th Century Unlike other urban centers of Wallachia, Câmpulung was, undoubtedly, a privileged town, as it had administrative autonomy & a series of exemptions obtained along the centuries from the rulers of Wallachia. It is well known that in Câmpulung used to live the oldest & the most numerous Catholic population. Consequently it always represented a point of interest for the rulers of Wallachia despite their Orthodox belief. The present paper represents an analysis based on documentary & narrative springs from the 17th century regarding the lordly power protectorate over the Catholics from Wallachia, and especially from Câmpulung.
