Protestul avocaţilor din 1905 împotriva maghiarizării firmelor de avocatură

  • Subiect: This study has two parts. First part is a short presentation of the principal moments of the involvement of the young lawyers from Hunedoara in the political life of Transylvania at the beginning of 20th century. The second part is an analysis regarding the protests advanced by a part of the lawyers from Hunedoara county and other side, to pass a decision in 1904 to a committee of the House of lawyers from Timişoara, after that all the lawyers will have the firms written in the Romanian and Magyar language. Romanian lawyers did not agree with this decision and they protested. The very important supporters of this protest were Iustin Pop and Francisc Hossu-Longin. Between the lawyers from Deva and the lawyers from Arad there was an exchange of letters. In 1906 in Arad there was a general meeting and the lawyers protest was refused. The lawyers advanced an appeal but this was refused too.
