Disputa dintre vâlceni şi braşoveni pe tema Imnului Naţional. O părere

  • Subiect: More than one paper tries to settle the historical dispute between Râmnicu Vâlcea and Braşov for the birthplace of the Romanian National Anthem. It should be noted that Mr. Vasile Roman is the spokesperson for Râmnicu Vâlcea (ie: Anton Pann as the author of the song and Râmnicu Vâlcea as the first place where the song was sung). On the other hand Mr. Vasile Oltean is the main promoter of Braşov’s importance (he says the song is authored by George Ucenescu and Braşov was the first place where the song was played). It gets complicated as a third alleged author of the song emerges: the poet Andrei Mureşanu, identified by the author of this study based on historical events correlation and on first hand testimonies, as not only the author of the verses but also the true composer of the song. As for the place where this marvelous song was first heard ... the evidence leads to Braşov.
