Pavilionul central din Târgul Moşilor la începutul secolului XX

  • Subiect: This study consists of two parts, one that summarizes the historical urban development of ”Târgul-de-Afară” called ”Târgul Moşilor” during the nineteenth century and a detailed part which describes two moments of the reconstruction of the Central Pavilion in 1899, respectively 1903. Placing a pavilion in ”Târgul Moşilor” is first mentioned in 1786, but this tradition was older, as this tent was especially constructed for the ruler of Valahia. One of the main aspects of this Central Pavilion is its temporary nature posed by this type of construction made of wood, which evolved from a tent (17th - 18th century) to an impressive pavilion at the end of the nineteenth century, where took place all sorts of official events, involving the participation of king Carol I. It was built before the fair opened and removed immediately after its closure.”
