The Archive Fund Bucharest University of Economic Studies (1950s)

Subiect: Finding and using archive documents represents, in mast cases, an essential way to introduce original research subjects. This article presents the research dane on an archive fund of a higher education institution, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, especially regarding documents from the 1950s. The fund is made of 282 archive units, ranging from the 1948 to 1961, but mast of the units are from the 1950s. lt is an important period, nat enough researched, and this fund it is an opportunity for bringing new sources for scholars. The types of subjects and documents that can be found within this fund, as well as research ideas, are presented in this paper. Although barely researched until now, these documents may generate new research projects and studies to increase aur understanding of the history of 1950s and the evolution of higher education, and of course of economic studies and the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.
