Scurt excurs asupra sinuciderii în Bucureştii anilor 1900

  • Subiect: The study has as a starting point the doctorate paper of Dr. Nicolae Minovici, paper published in 1904 and bearing the title „Study Concerning Hanging ". Suicide was a fenomenon linked with the complex changes in the life of the marginals of Bucharest, during the XIXth century. The modalities of suicide are enlisted, according to epoch documents. Besides begging, vagrancy, prostitution, crime and other daily events, suicide was part of a social, mental, imaginary complex that made the substance of urban life.
