Tramvaiul, între periferie şi centru - instrument valoros în sprijinul mobilităţii durabile

Subiect: Demands of sustainable development, particularly attemted economically and ecologically, support limited car use and more orientation to alternative transport. That is why the urban policies which take into account the specificity of mobility optimization should treat the alternative transport like a valuable instrument for the spatial planning, both central and peripheral areas. The main goal of the article is to highlight the potential of the tramway by studying the issue of the peripheral-central connection with reference to Bucharest which have the periphery lefted in a fragmented administrative management. Connecting the periphery to the center by tram as the main element is both (simultaneously) soft and hard, simple and complex, people oriented and also sustainable? That is the question for that the article try to provide un answer.
