Restaurarea unei piese etnografice - ia tradiţională

  • Subiect: Restoration of on Ethnographic Piece - Traditional Ia Ethnographic textile artifacts, from the mobile cultural heritage, are made of organic materials, but, also combine inorganic elements (sequins, beads, metallic threads). The combination of these (inorganic) materials, incompatible with their physic-chemical properties creates difficulties in their conservation, restoration, storage and display. The restored traditional bride shirt has shown several types of degradation, caused both, by the nature of the component materials and by its route. The restoration methodology focused primarily on rebalancing the artefact with the environment, followed by stopping the identified degradation.
