Restaurarea tabloului „Antonie Ruset şi Doamna Zoe”

  • Subiect: The Restoration of The „Antonie Ruset” Painting The painting Antonie Ruset, owned by the Argeş County Museum, is painted in oil on a canvas. The author and the painting's provenience are unknown. Antonie Ruset (Rosetti) ruled in Moldova during November 10, 1675 and November 1678. Greek of origin, his real name was Kirita Draco Ruset. This painting was found in a precarious state of conservation. Practical, we could observe all types of degradation, starting with biological factors, inclusive physicochemical degradation. To restore this painting, complex interventions were carried out on successive steps. Among the most important and complex restoration techniques used on this painting, were: prophylactic consolidation with Japanese foil, pictural surface cleaning, doubling the original canvas support with similar materials as texture and number of threads on square centimetre as the original support, chromatic integration and varnishing.
