Aspecte din existenţa Universităţii „Bolyai” din Cluj în anii `50

  • Subiect: This paper aims to present the study of the Hungarian minority elite universities, a highly sensitive issue, but at the same time important to research for a broader understanding of contemporary historiography. University always played a very special role in preparing the elites, which eventually gave the essential meaning of the continuing development of this institution. In a first step, I will give an overview of the most important events in the history of the Bolyai University, focusing on the period from 30 August 1940 (immediately after the Vienna Dictate) until 28th May 1945, the debut year of establishment Hungarian university, the Royal Decree 1945/407, published in the Official Gazette, but being done reference on the period between 1946 and 1959. The second part of the paper focuses on the aspects of the existence of university Bolyai in the 50 s. We will present the most significant events in terms of culture, which guided the years of existence, by identifying their impact on the Romanian and Hungarian community in that period. The research is based on sources from both complex in terms of historiography, and archival research. The paper wishes to draw attention to both specialists and general public, for a better understanding of history and a a minority of people.
