Aşezări Coţofeni pe Valea Meleşului. I. Matei "După Vii" (jud. Bistriţa-Năsăud)

  • Subiect: The Eneolithic settlement was discovered in 1998 by Ion Oltean. During the field researches, we gathered sherds of handmade pottery-some of them decorated-, chipped stones, core fragments, fragmentary stone axes, millstone fragments, unfinished stone pendants, etc. These materials-excepting the chipped stones and core fragments, which are still in our property- are now in the County Museum of Bistriţa-inv. nr. 20761-20792. The stones for the artefacts were gathered probably from the Someşul Mare, Bistriţa and Şieu rivers. It seems that a few potsherds (nr. 2-3, 10-11, 14-15) dates from the Coţofeni I or Coţofeni I/II period, the other potsherds dating from Coţofeni II period.
