Aspecte ale complexului cultural Starcevo-Criş pe teritoriul României

  • Subiect: The present paper deals with the problems of the genesis, the development and the final phases of the Starcevo-Criş Cultural Complex on Romania’s territory. Although characterized by a material and spiritual unity, its evolution varies from one region to another, this being determined by its amplitude and the specific conditions of each geographical area. So, if the South Carpathians region (Oltenia) is manifesting a permanent receptivity at the southern influences (from Greece and Bulgaria) • the West Carpathians regions (Banat and Crişana) are manifesting a different evolution under the cultural contacts with the Adriatic and the Central Europe areas. As an East Carpathians region, Moldova is behaving like a peripheral area - at South it is being influenced by the Meridional civilizations, at North the Cultural Complex is under the influence of some Central cultural elements or the Transylvania’s Criş culture. Transylvania, due to its geographic positioning behaves like a cultural region engaged in an autonomous evolution. But Transylvania is also receiving, periodically, some Southern and Western influences, which they adapt and originally transform - making so a distinct and self-supported cultural aspect.
