Consideraţii privind prezenţa în sud-estul Transilvaniei a unor tipărituri româneşti din secolul al XVI-lea

  • Subiect: The 16th century was - for the Romanian culture - the period of press printing beginnings. In Ţara Românească (Wallachia) the monk Macarie had printed the first three books in Slavonic Language, the official language of the time in this part of Europe. In Sibiu there are (in collections) five copies of the "Evangheliar" (The Gospels) - 1508. Dimitrie Liubavici. In Ţara Românească (Wallachia) was going to print books in Slavonic language. In Transylvania, in Sibiu, it had been printed books since 1528, e.g. "Catehismul" - 1544 by Phillipus Pictor and "Evangheliar slavo-român" (Slavonic-Romanian Gospel) - 1551 -1553 which is, fragmentary, preserved. The skill of printing had passed from Ţara Românească (Wallachia) to Transylvania by Coresi who was active for 30 years both in Ţara Românească and Transylvania. In fact his own place was in Romanian atmosphere of Scheii Braşovului, and he printed books in Romanian and Slavonic, too, under the High Patronage of th ruling princes of Ţara Românească (Wallachia). In Sibiu there are some Coresi printings, e.g. four copies of "Sbornic Slavon", Sas Sebeş, 1580, one copy of "Evangheliarul românesc" (Romanian Gospels), Braşov, 1561 and one copy of "Liturghierul românesc" (Romanian Liturgies), Braşov, 1570. "Palia de la Orăştie", 1582, is the first translation from Hungarian of two "Bible's chapters" in order to find a way for changing the religious beliefs of Romanian people from Orthodoxy to Calvin reforms. Şerban, Coresi's son and monk Marian who had translated it, used a clear Romanian language, without local dialects. The printing copies of our old Romanian Middle Ages culture in the South-thinkers, books and manuscripts between Transylvania and Ţara Românească Eastern part of Transylvania, the printing activity here, the changes of thoughts, (Wallachia), proved us the same behaviors, the same language of all Romanians. The books which had been kept during many years, in spite of centuries of foreign rule, proved us the interest and the main importance of Romanian spiritual events.
