  • Subiect: Capable to preserve itself for centuries or millenniums, the popular myth may be the oldest form of historical consciousness. As a historically and culturally well shaped space, Zarand too participates, with the specifics of its historical background, to the great spectacle of the collective imaginary. It brings onto the scene of the present, in front of the inquisitive eye, the fascination of a past in which the real and the miraculous cannot be told apart. Telling the story of "what used to be", the contemporary man acts as if he were part in a play which ended centuries or millenniums ago.
