Colocviul Internaţional Cucuteni culture within the European neo-eneolithic context (Cucuteni – 130) (Piatra-Neamţ, 2014)

  • Subiect: In October 15-17, 2014, at the Cucuteni Eneolithic Art Museum of Piatra-Neamţ, which hosts the Cucuteni Culture International Research Center, an ample cultural-scientific event was organized, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the discovery of the eponymous site of the most important European prehistoric civilization. The event included the international colloquium entitled „Cucuteni culture within the European Neo-Eneolithic context”, the opening of the new exhibition of the Cucuteni Museum with a commemorative component dedicated to Dr. Dan Monah (1943-2013), the launch of three volumes (containing articles published in the Romanian, French and English languages), which brings together the summaries of the colloquial communications and those that celebrate the personalities of Constantin Matasă (1878-1971) and Gheorghe Dumitroaia, as well as the visit to the medieval ensemble „The Voivodal Court” of Piatra-Neamţ. Subsequently, in 2016, the volume with the papers of the colloquium has been edited, the work being dedicated to the memory of Dr. Dan Monah (1943-2013) and Dr. Gheorghe Dumitroaia (1949-2016).
