Studii legate de eco-etologia Ursului Brun (Ursus Arctos) bazate pe monitorizarea post eliberatorie a puilor de urs orfani reabilitaţi

  • Subiect: The rehabilitation of the orphan brown bears cubs is a necessary activity in the context of the actual protection status establish by the Bern Convention, Habitat Directive of the European Commission and by the Romanian Government Order 57/2007. The bear cubs abandon is a frequent phenomenon due to the human pressure on brown bears natural habitat. Another issue is the illegal activity of keeping cubs found in the forest in the unauthorized places. In this context the activity of the orphan brown bear cubs rehabilitation centre is the single technically and legal solution for saving of some brown bears individuals. The rehabilitation and naturalization activity is based on a professional method that allowed the release in the natural habitat of the orphan brown bear cubs which have the same behavior as the natural raised cubs. The activity is using modern methods for studying the behavior of the cubs that are based on the monitoring of the released brown bears cubs for a period of two years.
