Vestigii dacice şi bastarne dintr-o locuinţă a sitului de la Roşiori-Neamţ

  • Subiect: „In 2015 we reopened the archaeological excavations on the site from Roşiori (Dulceşti village), Neamţ county; on this occasion we discovered a dwelling place with geto-dacian and bastarnic materials. Giving the positioning of the place, right on the edge of the superior terrace of the Moldova river (almost entirely collapsed) it was imposible to determin the shape of the hut but we noticed the diameter of almost 8 m and the location of the floor at -0,80 m deep. Inside we identified a circular fireplace; on the floor two pits were dug (separated by a stone ring), one in front of the fireplace for common use and the other for living. 60 % of the inventory consists of pottery (large jars, bowls, cups, sieve, miniatural vessels), other geto-dacian clay and stone artifacts (spindle whorls, a spoon, a loom weight, an idol, hammerstones, a whetstone, a stone grinder). There must also be added different types of bastarnic pottery (black or yellow-black, fine or semifine, polished or unpolished) particularly the barbotine jars and a bronze bracelet fragment with incised lines, coiled type. The whole archaeological level can be dated at the half of the IIIrd century B. C. based on a fragment of a Sinopean amphora handle.”
