Mlaştina de interdune "Vermeş" (Com. Sanislău, Jud. Satu Mare)

  • Subiect: The Vermes inter-dune swamp is presented (Sanislău, Satu Mare county) in order to explain its passover to the wet protected areas regime. A first argument brought in is the fact that the swamp keeps glaciers vegetating remains, although it is situated at extremely low altitude limits (138-150 m). These remains are Calamagrostis neglecta, C. Canescens and Carex appropinquata. They are situated at the West boundary of the area and are dominant factors for the vegetal associations where they live. The swamp also has a faunistic importance, being known for the bird fauna.
