Istoria restaurării Apostolului, 1774

  • Subiect: History of the restoration of The Apostle, 1774 The Apostle is the liturgical book that contains all the readings from the apostles' epistles in the order of the readings for the services of the year. An apostle or epistle is a writing to or sent to a person or a group of people, usually a letter but a very conventional, didactic and elegance. The book is part of the Argeş County Museum collection, being purchased in May 1997, by donation by Col. N. Duţescu. In the present copy, the tiled page is actually missing the volume, as specified in the Inventory Register, starting on page 278. The entire volume is written on two columns with a Cyrillic alphabet, and at the beginning of each column there are floral motifs, of small size, which give a special aesthetic appearance. The inner edge is made on the seam at the “gherghef”, with the accentuation of the rib areas, and is slightly rounded, glued, without pitting and not lining. Due to improper storage, the volume suffered multiple damage, affecting both the link and the body of the book. The restoration of this book will be fully realized.
