Ceramica neolitică pictată - între artă decorativă şi funcţie practică

  • Subiect: Painted neolithic pottery- between decorative and practical functionality The article presents the restoration of two neolithic painted ceramic pots found during the preventive excavations at Suplacu de Barcău, Sălaj County, in the summer of 2010. The article presents two pots, both particularly as shape, paste and decoration. These artifacts are coming from two different contexts: the first from a dwelling and the second from a possible clay extraction pit. These pots are rare, specific for this geographic area and proves us once more that the neolithic communities had a fine sense of beauty and were very skilled craftsmen. The artifacts went to several restoration phases, like: macro– and microscopic observations, mechanical procedures, removing deposits, consolidation and filling of the missing areas.
