Perioada contemporană în muzeele de arheologie şi istorie din România de azi

  • Subiect: This study debates the actual problems of the Romanian history museums. The first problem is how to present the contemporary age, how it can be divided in. Then we have the exhibition itself. During the communist regime, and unfortunately even today, the history exhibitions contain more or less images, pictures, and the museum tends to be a "paper" one. For a musewn to avoid being full with texts and poor in objects, it supposes to stop presenting the historical events in a linear way, a chronological one. The author suggests the history museum should present institutions, mentalities and the cultural background of different periods of history, and more, objects and images that have symbolic value, and the relations between them. Another aspect is that of using modern technology in the departments of contemporary history.
