Ceramica romană decorată în tehnica barbotinei la Ampelum

  • Subiect: At Ampelum, in an old disintegrated pottery kiln belonging to a pottery complex from the middle of the 2nd century a.Chr., some vases and ceramics fragments carrying a decor in barbotina technic were discovered among other many and important ceramics objects. All these vases and fragments proceeded from reject process during the production process. Part of these ceramics with brick-coloured barbotina ornaments were meant to be glazed, and a better burnt part to be decorated with a white barbotina. According to the circumstances these decorated ceramics were discovered we may date the processing at Ampulum officina by the middle of the 2nd century a.Chr.
