Raport despre activitatea Muzeului de Istorie şi Artă din Zalău pe anul 1977

Subiect: The Activity of the History and Art Museum of Zalău in the Year 1977 The paper deals with the activity of the museum in the field of research, conservation of monuments and scientific publication. Excavations were made at the Neolithic site of Zăuan (Sălaj district) belonging to the Criş Culture. In the industrial zone of the Zalău a various archeological material was found, ranging from the Neolithic Age tot the Early Middle Ages. At the roman site of Porolissum excavations were carried out at the roman camp on „Pomet” and in the sacred zone. The Dacian site of Panic (2nd-3rd century) was excavated as well. The results of the research are connected with the life of Dacians beyond the roman border of Dacia. Attention was paid to the research connected with the post roman age in the area. Intensive research was made in the field of ethnography, folk art and culture. The museum developed a large cultural activity: exhibition, lectures, museum evenings, trips to the local monuments, etc.
