  • Subiect: „At the end of the 16th century and during the first half of the 17th century the office of captain general maintained its position at the top of the Transylvanian military hierarchy. It was still regarded as a temporary military office, given to trustworthy nobles, during major military campaigns. Nevertheless, the new political and military context, determined some changes in the status of this leading position in the hierarchy of the Transylvanian army.”
