Restaurarea. Redescoperirea operei de artă

  • Subiect: Physical, chemical and biological degradations as well as previous interventions, which modified its artistic quality, imposed the restoration of this painting. It regained the initial image, an appropriate title and a new paternity. Painted at the end of the 16th century, this work belongs to Jacopo Bassano's studio; its new title - the Air Allegory - refers to the presence, in the sky ofthe composition, of goddess Hero, the symbol of air in Ancient mythology.
