  • Subiect: A forgotten personality of Fagaras County, Captain Vasile Stanciu de Vist (1821-1899) Vasile Stanciu was born in Vistea de Jos. He joined the army and he got the rank of captain, in time. He joined the regular army in Regiment 1 from Orlat. Beginning with 1851 he functioned in Regiment 46, in Deva (1851-1852) and in Seghedin (1853-1860). After he got to pension he dedicated himself to the teaching of frontier-guarding people of his native village.
