România şi Planul Marshall

  • Subiect: ln this study, the author analyses one of the mast important moments that marked the break between the free world and the Soviet block, after WW II. After presenting, briefly, the evolution of the events that led to the adoption of the Marshall Plan by the United States of America and the negative reaction of the Soviet Union, the present study brings into discussion the position of the different politica! forces in Roman ia towards this American initiative. lf the opposition parties considered the Marshall Plan a possibility, for Remania, of detaching, al least partially, from the politica! sphere of influence of the Soviets, and of remaking its economy, the Government led by Petru Groza and imposed by the Soviets firmly rejected it, beeing forced to respect the decisions adopted, in what concerns this matter, by Moscow. ln the last part of the study, the author presents the way in which the radio propaganda of the communist regime in Bucharest, echo of the Soviet propaganda, understood to informe the public opinion in our country about the importance of the Marshall Plan.
