Activitatea lui Eftimie Murgu în contextul relaţiilor româno-maghiare între 1823-1870

  • Subiect: Amang all the personalities that emerged in the XIXth from Banat, a remarkable character is definitely Eftimie Murgu. He was born 28 December 1805 in Rudaria, a village that nowadays is named after him. He was a prestigious jurist, philosophy teacher (one of the founders of the Romanian philosophy schools), a well known revolutionary and a politician that activated in the Budapest Parliament. A major part of his life and activity is straight related to the politic life of Hungary at that time, especially regarding Romanian-Hungarian relations and he was very often in the center of the related historic events of Romania and Hungmy. The events that he took part of sometime relate in an odd manner I may say, also because he had (welf deserved) privileges from the Hungarian authorities especially an the cultural field. Moreover he had the support of the Hzmgarian revolutionists. However he did nat have only benefits but also a lot to suffer and many years of detention.
