  • Subiect: The Ottoman system of Ianded proprieties represented the basis of the whole Ottoman political and military power. The impairment of this system was one of the main factors which led to the general crisis and to the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. The author presents some aspects regarding the Ottoman land law, and he emphasizes the fact that the application of this system to the Romanian territories, at the time under Ottoman rule ( Dobrudja, Budjac, Banat, Bihor , etc.), was done taking into account the local tradition.
