Genealogia şi arhivistica. Evoluţia unei familii româneşti din Maramureş

Subiect: After a short presentation of the genealogy as a special science of the history, the authors suggest that the archivists should consider more throughly this direction. To support their statements, the two specialists, an archivist, Doctor in History, and a priest having genuine rescarch abilities, provide a genealogical study on an old Romanian family, Bârsana, from Maramureş, in the Northern Romania. The basis of the above mentioned genealogical research is represented by the documents kept mostly within the Archives; this proves the great cooperation possibilities between the archivists and the genealogists.
