Societăţile culturale şi studenţeşti din Bucovina şi lupta lor pentru unitate naţională în a doua jumătate a secolului al XIX-lea

Subiect: After 1775 when the north-western Moldavia was annexed to the Habsburg Empire, the Court of Vienna took measures against the autochton Romanian element. These measure were cultural, religious and economic, but the most serious of them was the colonization of strangers. Romanians defended themselves by promoting their own culture and by strongf connections with their brothers of the free territories. In this concern, starting with the second half of the 19th century, a very important part was played by the cultural and students associations.
