Kadar Jozef şi cultura populară

  • Subiect: KADAR JOZSEF'S FOLKLORE AND ETHNOGRAPHIC ACTIVITY In this study we marked out a not very well-known aspect of this historian who loved himself passionate and interested in folklore and ethnography. We started the study with the main stages of his life and work, continuing with the analysis of his folklore and ethnography, referring to some studies published in the newspapers of his time, as the one about Christmas' origins and especially to his manuscript "Faiths and Creeds from around Dej town", ready for publication in 1982. We also marked out the fact that Kadar Jozsef was a partisan of the investigations on the locations where from he congregated many folk values (songs, verses, satirical verses, riddles). We've also pointed out his merits in valuing the satirica) extempore verses and the folk prose, writing some them unfortunately lost. The last part of the study underlines the ethnographical considerations, also important in his 7 volumes book about Solnoc-Dăbâca Country, which contain important data about peasants' houses, building technical parts, the interior of the house, national folk costumes, traditional occupations, and the traditional food.
