Fauna şi flora în toponimia localităţilor Săcel, Săliştea de Sus, Dragomireşti din judeţul Maramureş

  • Subiect: THE FLORA AND THE FAUNA IN THE TOPONIMY OF THE SĂCEL, SĂLIŞTEA DE SUS AND DRAGOMIREŞTI LOCALITIES, DISTRICT OF MARAMUREŞ The subject of this work is the toponymy regarding the savage fauna and the spontaneous flora from Sacel, Salistea de Sus and from Dragomiresti, places situated on Valea Izei (Iza Valley), Maramures County. For each toponymy we have specified the scientific name and we have found that some place were still keeping the names the names of some animals which had disappeared or the names of rare plants in that area. The majority of the toponymy proves the presence of some wooden essences necessary for houses and tools which can be found in a high density on a special area and the peasants have known where to look for these wooden essences.
