Căpitan Dumitru Cristorian: participarea grupului 18 Cercetare la luptele pentru eliberarea Sălajului de sub ocupaţia fascistă în octombrie 1944

  • Subiect: Captain Dumitru Cristorian: The Participation of the 18th Reconnaissance Group in the Battles for Sălaj District in Octomber Among the military units of the Rumanian Army which took part in the antihitleriste war and in the battles for the liberation of the Sălaj (district and Zălau town) from the fascist occupation in October 1944, there was the 18-th Reconnaissance Group of the 18-th infantry Division. During the campaign, the commander of this group, the captain Dumitru Cristorian, wrote a journal, describing the actions, he and his group took part into. From the journal, the author selected the notes concerned with the action during 14th-25th October, when the 18-th group took part in the liberation of the Sălaj district and was the first Romanian military unit to enter the town of Zălau.
