  • Subiect: The Furrow of Novac - Terminological Considerations In this article we analyzed the name of the turf wall which separates the field area from the hills, stretching from the mouth ofTopolniţa River, near the castrum from Drobeta Turnu-Severin, to the proximity of Brăila city. Someone said that it was calicii in this way in the memory of the balkanise hero Baba Novac. This character is to bc found on Bulgarian, Serbian and Romanian folklore as well.
