Noi descoperiri monetare în judeţul Bistriţa-Năsăud

  • Subiect: This article presents some coins which were registered in the collections of the museum from Bistriţa in the last years. Chronologically these are: 1) Six Dacian coins of type Vîrteju Bucureşti, which were collected from a person who lives in Cuşma. It is unknown if these coins come from other place. If these coins really come from the village that means that economic and commercial connections between Dacian tribes still exist. It is known that in this area were discovered other Dacian monetary types as Adâncata-Mănăstirea, Crişeni-Berchieş, Tonciu, Prundu-Jibelea, Medieşul Aurit, Răduleşti-Hunedoara and Aiud-Cugir. 2) Two Roman coins: dupondius of Trajan (but it could not be exactly dated) and an as of Severus Alexander (years 231-235) come from Prundu-Bârgăului, place "Valea Secului". 3) A sestert (unidentified) carne from Silivaşul de Câmpie village. 4) An aes 3 (unidentified) and a Byzantine coin (20 nummia) from Justinian (years 563-564) carne from Anieş village.
