  • Subiect: The preoccupation for the scientific investigation of the topic of economic history necessarily includes the historiographic process meant to mark the level, continuity and evolution of research as compared to the predecessors' activity. A whole image is thus made up to underscore the most suggestive elements for historical writing orientation which was focused on the Romanian national community in Transylvania and Banat confronted with the difficulties of adaption to modern rhythms at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. A very complex process, the modernization, develops on the background of capitalist relationships, underlined by the constant and continuous effort made by the collectivity towards renewal and development, towards the antonymic approach of the old and new on the doctrinaire, as finality the consonance with the European rhythm of the century, without losing the achievement of some personal commandments. Thus, the interdependence of the national - modernization, which is revealed as the main coordinate of the subject treated, appears with precise features in a certain geopolitical context and it imposes some peculiarities of development: temporal differences, de-synchronizing as far as the rhythm and depth of the reforms are concerned, interference of action of some domestic and foreign factors.
