Particularităţi clinico-evolutive la copiii cu bicuspidie aortică

  • Subiect: Bicuspid aortic valve is one of the most common congenital heart defects, often diagnosed in adolescence or young adulthood due to the valvular dysfunctions(aortic valvular stenosis or aortic regurgitation). This study is meant to clinically and echocardiographically analyse a group of 69 children, aged between 5 days and 18 years diagnosed in the clinical section of pediatric cardiology in Tg. Mures with aortic bicuspidia, between 2001-2006. The results of the study have shown that aortic bicuspidia has been traced in 46% of cases, and bicuspid aortic valve with aortic valvular stenosis in 11,5% of cases. The most common association of bicuspid aortic valve with other congenital heart diseases has been aortic coarctation(24,5%). An echocardiographic notice has been the presence of the joining between the right coronary leaflets and the left leaflets, seen in patients with bicuspid aortic valve and aortic valvular stenosis.
