Scrisori cenzurate

  • Subiect: „The present work refers to several letters, censored mail during World War I. We are talking about four postal records, made artisanal, having a standard birch bark and dividing lines of text, headings are marked in pencil, pre-printed from Botoşani unoccupied area by German-Austrian armies. As we know the 1 Romanian army was able to stop the forces of the Central Powers at Mărăşti by breaking the front and then to defeat them at Mărăşeşti thus Moldova remains unoccupied through so-called defense strategy in the triangle. The letters suggest such an atmosphere of calm while the country was at war, and familiarizes us with the restrictions to which they were subjected those in military service. The texts are so designed as to allow us to deduce the details that we might inquire about place, date, name, are therefore of a shrouded mystery, but we enhance the affectivity and care for those remaining at home.”
