Chorologia mamiferelor sălbatice (Mammalia) din nord-vestul României

Subiect: Placed at the half distance between the North Pole and the Ecuator, with the influences of the western ocean ii: climate and protected by the eastern continental one, the northwestern area of Roman ia has a very interesting fauna/ structure of mammals Synthesizing, the 40 mammal species form northeastern Romania belongs to 33 genera, 1 7 families and 6 orders. We mention them according to decreasing number of species: Rodentia = 20, Carnivora = 9, Jnsectivora = 4, Chiroptera = 4, Artiodactyla =3, Lagomorpha = 1. A part of the mentioned species has a hunting importance, others are the hosts of some pathogenic agents and others generate damages, eating the crops and stocking the food.
