Academiceanul Dumitru Bagdazar personalitate proeminentă vasluiană

  • Subiect: Dumitru Bagdasar - Important personality from Vaslui The founder of the Romanian modern neuro-surgery and of the national school of the neuro-surgery, Dumitru Bagdasar, was born of 17t5h of December 1893 in Roşieşti Commune, Vaslui County. He follows the primary school in Bârlad and The Medicine Faculty in Bucharest. He was incorporated in 1916, he goes on the front as a doctor pupi! sub-lieutenant. In 1918 was demobilized, he returned to Bucharest, he restarted his studies of which he finished in 1919. At the Colentina hospital at the neuro-surgery section he will remain till 1922 when he sustains his doctorate. In 1926 he occupied the chief doctor post of the Neuro-psychiatric Hospital from Jimbolia, Caraş-Severin County. In April 1927 he married Florica Ciumeti, medicine graduate; at the beginning of the month May 1927, those two will live in Boston for specialization. In 1933 we encountered Dumitru Bagdasar at the neuro-psychiatry hospital from Cernăuţi, and from 1934 we found him at the Central Hospital from Bucharest on the post of neuro-surgeon. He is mobilized in the Second World War where he occupies with the preparation of the surgeons on the front. He took part from Doctor Petru Groza's Government, as Minister of Health. He died on 16th of July 1946, and The Academy of the Popular Republic of Romania will elect him as a posthumous honorary member.
