Prezenţa doamnelor la sărbătorile creştine în Moldova medievală

  • Subiect: For the members of the princely families, the Christian holidays had a special importance which carne from the relation they had with the divinity and from the profoundly religious sentiment that prevailed over them. The days that celebrated Lord's Birth, Baptism or Resurrection represented a good occasion for them to take part, together with the vassals, in the ceremonies previously prepared. Generally, the development of such an event included two key moments: the service and the feast at the princely court. On these occasions, it was visible the glamour, the grandeur and richness, which impressed the crowd and the foreign travellers transiting Moldavia.
