70 de ani de la luptele armatei române la cotul Donului şi Stepa Kalmucă

  • Subiect: About 70-years passed away from the defensive WW-2 battle of the Axis armies, between the Romanian 3rd and 4th Armies, and Soviet ones, that are developed near Stalingrad city (today Volgograd). For the Romanian troops it is known as the Don-river bend battle. Many false idea about the Red Army, Axis ally and generally the war in Russia falls with this occasion. After so many years remains only the pain of our ancestors, Soviets, Germans, Romanians, Hungarians, Italians and others, who fought for doctrines that time has rejected. The present work-paper try to synthetically presents situations, causes and consequences regarding the Romanian participation in this huge battle and to extract some generally lessons from the dramatically situations of that cold winter of the Eastern front.
