Icoana-Portal către divinitate. Câteva consideraţii

  • Subiect: The icon, which is a way of deifying the orthodox believer, represents not only Christ, but also the image of God and man. It is the icon of God - Man. Christ on earth is the incarnate Word. Man, confessing his faith and redeeming the fall into sin, becomes a partaker of the deity. The philosopher Mircea Eliade also writes about the incarnation of the Logos, icons and iconoclasm in the History of Religious Beliefs and Ideas. Those who deny that Christ can be represented by an icon implicitly deny the reality of the incarnation is to be repeated in the Soliloquies. Here the scholar argues that the incarnation is not intended only to hold that the incarnation is not intended only to save the world from sin, but presupposes "a broader, more courageous purpose." It is about teaching our divinity, that is, "taking its form." Man, thus realizes communion with the divine.
