Subiect: Attempt to Found a Museum in Sălaj The author talks about various attempts to set up a museum in Zalău. Begun at the end of the last century and continued, especially after 1918, these attempts failed to overcome the lack of interest on the part of the authorities. A lot of archaeological materials have been gathered, investigations have taken place, even an archaeological exhibition has been organized, but they have not been able to create a real museum. The current museum was founded only in 1951.
