  • Subiect: The coats of arms from the collections of the Szekler National Museum In the Szekler National Museum in Sfântu Gheorghe, Covasna county the visitor can see many coats of arms. First the coat of arms of the museum on the facade of the building, and some coats of arms carved in the lapidary of the institution (Béldi, Nemes, Zenone di Castelceriolo, Bethlen–Gyulay alliance coats of arms, and the emblem of Habsburg Empire). Inside, in the history department are two coats of arms of Mikes of Zabola counts. In the „Gyárfás Jenő” Art Gallery are some coats of arms (Herepei, heraldic seal of the Museum and the coat of arms of the Szekler community). In the museum’s library are funeral coats of arms available for researchers, but they are not publicly displayed: Teleki, Wass, Vay, Brukenthal, Kendeffi, Csedő, Zathuretzky, Cserei and Knöpfler, and the letters patent of nobility of the Szentkereszty and the Márk of Egerpatak families. Székely Nemzeti Múzeumban található címerek A szerző tömör múzeumtörténeti felvezető után számba veszi az intézményben fellelhető címereket, kezdve a főépület homlokzatán velencei mozaikból kialakított, Kós Károly által tervezett Székely Nemzeti Múzeum-címerrel, folytatva a kőtárban látató címeres emlékekkel (Béldi, Zenone di Castelceriolo, Bethlen–Gyulay házassági címer, Nemes, valamint a Habsburg birodalmi címer), a történelmi részlegen őrzött Mikes-címerekkel, a múzeum külső egységeként működő Gyárfás Jenő Képtár leltárában levő címerekkel (Nemes Székely Nemzet, Herepei, a múzeum címeres pecsétrajza), a néprajzi részlegen felállított, a barátosi református templomból származó kazettás mennyezet Bibó-címerével, a könyvtár levéltári részlegén őrzött nemesleveleken át (Szentkereszty, egerpataki Márk ) a selyemre és kartonra festett halotti címerekig: Teleki, Wass, Vay, Brukenthal, Kendeffi, Csedő, Zathuretzky, Cserei és Knöpfler.
