80 de ani de la intrarea navei-şcoală Mircea în dotarea forţelor navale române. Generalul adjutant Paul Teodorescu artizan al ceremoniei

  • Subiect: The school-ship Mircea – 80 years of active service in the Romanian Navy. General Paul Teodorescu – main supporter of the ceremony In his position as Minister of Air and Navy he was the main contributor for most of the naval achievements in this period. The speeches held by general Teodorescu on different occasions and the thanks he received from the authorities are proof of his involvement in carrying out important achievements such as: the launch of the motorship Transilvania and the motorboats Albatros and Pescarusul, and the creation of the naval base for the SalvamarSociety. These events took place on Navy Day (September 8 1938). Other events include the arrival ceremony of the school-ship Mircea (May 17 1939), the launch of the minelayer Amiral Murgescu – June 14 1939 and the start of the construction of the naval base at Tasaul, also on Navy Day (August 15 1939).Perhaps the most important moment for us was on May 17 2019, when we celebrated 80 years of active service for the school-ship. Mircea is the embodiment of a naval tradition of great relevance for our Navy.
